Prof Munish K. Chandel
Professor, Environmental Science and Engineering, IIT-BMunish K. Chandel is a Professor at Environmental Science and Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. His research is focused on different aspects of environmental sustainability including life cycle assessment, carbon capture and storage, greenhouse gas mitigation, water-energy nexus, solid waste management and waste to energy. Prof. Chandel received B. Tech. Degree in Civil Engineering from NIT Hamirpur and PhD in Environmental Engineering from IIT Delhi. Before joining, IIT Bombay, he was Assistant Professor at Civil Engineering Department at IIT Roorkee. Before that, he was Research Scientist at Duke University, NC, USA. and a Postdoc at Ecole des Mines de Nantes, France and Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada.
Prof. Chandel has more than 18 years of research and teaching experience. He has published more than 80 research publications in different journals and conferences and has been the associate editor of two journals.
