Sai Kishore
Executive Director, VEDA Climate Change Solutions LtdSai Kishore is a climate finance expert having experience in designing, developing and implementing carbon offset projects under multiple carbon standards. He is the Executive Director at VEDA Climate Change Solutions Ltd, the first organization in India to deliver carbon revenues to farmers under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Afforestation/Reforestation in 2012 and in 2022. Sai develops projects that not only offer environmental, but also social and economic benefits to the smallholder farmers and contribute in building climate resilience among the smallholder farmers.
He is actively involved in regional, national and international levels promoting the adoption of emerging technologies in land-use based project development activities. Sai authored a chapter on ‘DLT and the Voluntary Carbon Markets’ in the book ‘Governing Carbon Markets with Distributed Ledger Technology’ published by Cambridge University Press.
