United Way of Hyderabad aims to offer essential entitlements, basic financial and digital literacy, as well as supportive guidance to people interested in establishing, expanding, and scaling their businesses.This program also caters to people seeking self-employment opportunities and access to markets, with a focus on women's entrepreneurship.
Key sets of activities in this program include the identification of women with an appetite for self-employment or entrepreneurial activity and training them to ensure the stabilization of their ventures. Specifically, it envisages capacitating the women by imparting basics of financial literacy and providing pre-incubation and incubation support to women through guided workshops. It improves the business skills & knowledge of women entrepreneurs as well as builds market linkages.
As an NGO working for women empowerment in India, we anticipate that upon completing the entitlement and entrepreneurship program in the coming years, women entrepreneurs will experience enhanced market access, increased household income compared to their initial stages, and improved availability of credit services for livelihoods.
