Skilling and Job Readiness

Our “HUNAR” skilling centers engage with unemployed youth in urban communities to provide them with basic life skills, computer skills, and employment support. We run the centers at Narsingi, Musheerabad, and Kukatpally Centers, with a group of 20 odd degree colleges affiliated to state universities, and with Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree Colleges.

Our training through the college network and community centers includes:
  • Communication and basic IT skills
  • Life skills, career counseling, access to an employer network
  • Technical courses and future-ready skills such as data science, full-stack programming
  • Interfacing with volunteers to build access to opportunity, social capital, and support networks that they lack

ABOUT United Way of Hyderabad

Founded in 2010, United Way of Hyderabad (UWH) is a non-profit volunteer led organization, that supports and mainstreams the socio-economically underprivileged communities of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.UWH maneuvers its effort in building community-based and community-led solutions that strengthen the foundations of a good life: education, financial stability and health.

All our programs are developed and customized post need analysis of the communities we serve. We are registered as a Society under Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act 2001 and are legally compliant with 80G, 12A & FCRA.
